Spirulina
Spirulina is a bioactive microalgae with many health benefits. Its main components are proteins, carbohydrates and fats. It has super antioxidant, revitalizing and remineralizing properties.
This seaweed is also a rich source of many valuable compounds, such as carotenoids, chlorophyll, as well as several minerals (potassium, calcium, magnesium, selenium, iron and zinc) and vitamins (including vitamin B which is the most abundant). When applied to the skin, spirulina shows powerful anti-aging properties, it improves the barrier function, protects and brightens the skin, promotes healing.
It also provides antioxidant and anti-acne properties mainly via the inhibition of C. acnes growth.
