Star Ingredients - POLYGLUTAMIC ACID (PGA)

POLYGLUTAMIC ACID (PGA)

Polyglutamic acid is a natural biopolymer renowned for its exceptional ability to retain water in biological environments. Its structure, rich in carboxyl groups, allows it to capture and retain water in the stratum corneum for extended periods, making it a superior humectant that outperforms many conventional moisturizing agents.

In our Reversa treatment, two complementary molecular sizes are used to offer multi-level hydration: high molecular weight PGA, which remains on the surface and forms a thin, breathable, and smoothing hydrophilic film, immediately reducing insensible water loss; and low molecular weight PGA, which penetrates deep to stimulate natural hydration mechanisms, increase natural moisturizing factors (NMFs), and support hyaluronic acid synthesis.

Together, these two fractions rapidly improve the skin's moisture content, provide an immediate plumping effect, and optimize light reflection for a more even and radiant complexion. Studies also show improved barrier function, better tolerance, and skin that is more resistant to daily aggressors. This approach makes PGA a key ingredient for restoring comfort, softness, and overall skin quality.
